Ursula Clapp was born on 2 September 1758 in Dutchess County, New York.1 She was the daughter of Joseph Clapp and Mercy Carpenter. She was baptized in St George's Church, Hempstead, Nassau County, New York. She married Samson Striker, son of John Stryker and Sarah Crooker, in 1784 in New York.1,2 She died on 13 February 1813 in Hallowell Twp, Prince Edward County, Ontario, at age 54.1,2
