     John Stryker was born in 1719 in Hempstead, Nassau County, New York.1 He was the son of Jacobus Stryker and Martha Griggs.2 He married Sarah Crooker, daughter of Sampson Crooker and Margaret Losee, before 1752. He was a farmer in Oyster Bay, Queens County, New York, in 1759.2 He left a will in 1759.2 He died in 1759 in Hempstead, New York.1,2
