Note | Looking over a transcription of Zion Hill Cemetery, Ancaster (Hamilton branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society), as well as the 1851 and 1861 censuses in Ancaster, it becomes obvious that Mary's mother was Belinda Chrysler. Death reg. 015238-76 Ancaster Twp., Wentworth Co. Mary G. Lincoln died January 16th, 1876. Age 42 yrs. Husband a farmer. Born Canada. Wesleyan Methodist. Cause of death diptheria about a week. Physician and informant Dr. Orton, physician, Ancaster. A stated place of burial for Mary has not been found. She died within days of two daughters who also died of diptheria. The daughters are buried in Zion Hill Cemetery in Ancaster. The transcription does not indicate that Mary is buried here, but she likely is. |
