| Note | Page 248 of the Wesleyan Methodist Baptism register carries baptisms that were done in the Township of Onondaga. This shows Emma Charlt. Lincoln as being born on 2 November, 1867, and baptized on 8 February, 1868. The use of ditto marks obscures information a bit, suggesting that Emma was born in Brantford and baptized in Onondaga. She was probably born in Onondaga. The clergyman who baptized her was G. H. Cornish. All the Lincoln children were no doubt baptized, but not all clergy seemed interested in returning this information to the Wesleyan Methodist central repository. Death reg. 015241-76 Ancaster Twp., Wentworth Co. Emma Charlotte Lincoln died January 28th, 1876. Age 8 years. Father a farmer. Parents Methodist. Born Canada. Cause of death diptheria six days. Physician and informant Dr. Orton, Ancaster. |
