Home District marriage register

Extracted from a list of marriages solemnized by John Culham, Wesleyan Preacher.

On April 29, 1835
Henry Culham and Destimona Munn, both of the township of Etobicoke. By license.
Witnesses Truman Willcox and Hiram Munn

John Culham, the Wesleyan preacher, was evidently a member of Henry's family. Henry shows up as a witness in at least one other marriage. This was in 1833. The registration does not say so, but, probably, the marriage of Henry and Destamona Ann was conducted in Etobicoke.

The Rev. John Culham died in Etobicoke on Dec. 2, 1852. See page 69 of Vol. 2, Death Notices from the Christian Guardian, 1851 to 1860, Rev. Donald A. McKenzie, Global Heritage Press, 2011.

John's wife Ann died Oct. 15, 1860. See page 81, Vol. 4, Obituaries from Ontario's Christian Guardian, 1861-1870. As mentioned, Ann Culham died in October of 1860, but her obituary did not appear in the Guardian until the issue of April 24, 1861.

DeathShe died on 15 August 1849.
BurialShe was buried at Sheffield Cemetery, Beverly Twp., Wentworth Co..
