The above marriage was, with two others, certified by Rev. Michael Fawcett, Wesleyan Methodist minister, but he notes that the marriages were actually performed by Rev. William Lund, 'now in Woodstock'.

Morris, the residence of Alexander, isn't at all clear and does not show up on maps of the era. Glen Morris, which was in South Dumfries, may be what was intended.
