| Note | No death registration for Jane has been found. A notice of her death is to be found in the June 14, 1871, issue of the Dumfries Reformer. This shows her age as 86 years, 11 months, and 5 days. Her date of birth, 4 July, 1784, is calculated from this. Also not found is a birth/baptism record for Jane.
First Church also has a record of death (apparently not a funeral record) for Jane (Harvie) Carrick. This appears under the year and almost impossibly faded. The copy to hand is taken from microfilm GS2987, which has First Church Records. The microfilming effort appears to be of mixed quality. A bit of creative reading can make out the death of Mrs. Robt. Carrick, age 86 years and 11 months, but her date of death is unreadable. |
