On 17 January 1860
Rosemary Ambrose extracted marriage notices from the Dumfries Reformer, 1860-65. Noted is the 18th January 1860 edition of the paper which tells of the marriage of James and Janet on the 17th. The notice locates the marriage in Beverly and tells that Janet is the 3rd daughter of Alexander Harvey (Harvie). The marriage should have been recorded in the Wentworth County marriage register, but the Harvie residence, in Beverly, was only a short distance along a side road from North Dumfries Township.
|Death||She died on 28 January 1885 at North Dumfries Township, Waterloo Co..|
|Burial||She was buried at Section 2, Mountview Cemetery, Galt.|
|Note||See United Church of Canada Archives microfilm LCM-30 for the baptism record of Janet Harvie. The book is not page numbered, but her baptism is shown as number 150. Janet's baptism date is shown as January 24, 1838. This would agree with her age as shown in her death registration as 47 years, 2 months, which would place her birth in November of 1837 approximately.|
