The Colvin family bible also confirms the marriage date of 18 June 1884 at Glen Morris and names Rev. Robert Pettigrew as the officiating minister. |

| Note | In the 1901 census taken at Galt, Andrew's mother is living with the family. Her name is shown as Margaret Colvin and her birthdate is given as November 29, 1829. As pointed out under Margaret's notes, she had remarried and her surname was actually Loudon. The Colvin family bible gives Andrew's birth date as 1 February 1862 at Glen Morris. We take Andrew James' dates of birth and baptism from the Glen Morris Church's records of baptisms. Born Glenmorris, Ont., coal dealer. Married. Physician Dr. Buchanan. Informant G. F. Little, Galt. Cause of death pneumonia. There is space on the form for parental information, but this not filled in. G. F. Little was the undertaker. Dr. Buchanan was Andrew's brother-in-law. A story came down through the family that Andrew died of the flu that was epidemic at this time. |
