The names and birth dates for the children of Thomas and Celecta come from the 1901 census taken at Marquette, Shoal Lake, Manitoba. One or two birth dates have been taken from Ontario vital statistics information, where found. We have no birth information for Thomas, but he was likely born in Ancaster or Beverly.
Thomas Badger is apparently on his own in Manitoba at the time of the 1881 census. The 1891 census would have it that son Classon was born in Manitoba, but the 1901 census tells that the children through to Wellington, born in 1882, were born in Ontario and that those thereafter were born in Manitoba. Birth registrations in Ontario for Classon and Wellington have not been found. Neither do they show on the indexed lists for births in Manitoba on the Vital Statistics Manitoba website. |
