| Marriage | She married John Aikman in 1787. Page 133 of Ancaster's Heritage (Vol.1) states that John Aikman met his wife Hannah Showers at Fort Niagara and married her there in 1787. If so, it may be that they were married by an army chaplain for the marriage record of Rev. Addison at St. Mark's Anglican in that place do not record the marriage. |
