| Note | We do not presently know Henrietta's maiden name. There is circumstantial evidence, entirely circumstantial, to suggest that Henrietta's maiden name was Fisher. Henrietta is buried in Nash-Lockwood Cemetery. So is Catherine Fisher, wife of David Vrooman. Nash-Lockwood Cemetery is a very small cemetery apparently now reduced to rubble. The best transcription we have was done years ago by Orlo Miller. William Fisher and wife sold property to John Vrooman, a portion of Lot 11 in the First concession of Caradoc, in 1853. There is some repetition of given names with other Fisher families. None of this is conclusive. Most children of John and Henrietta moved to Saskatchewan before and after the 1901 census and death records, such as might provide Henrietta's maiden name, are unavailable to us. |
