Born Garafraxa Township, residing Sullivan Township. Parents Gilbert and Matilda Markle. Witnesses Isabella McFarlane and John McKinnon, both of Chatsworth. On October 10th, 1883, at Chatsworth, by Rev. David Perry. Chatsworth is mostly in Holland Township. An old map shows the town to border Sullivan Township. The marriage registration was filed with the Sullivan Township registrar, which should mean that the marriage was conducted in Sullivan. This wasn't always the case, but, probably, is so for the marriage of Samuel and Martha. |
