| Note | Moses' gravestone in Jerseyville Cemetery has been transcribed by the Hamilton branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. This tells that he died on Feb 6th, 1879, at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 13 days. This calculates his death to 24 September, 1799, and may be correct. An obituary, however, for Moses is to be found in Volume 7 of the work of Rev. Donald A. McKenzie, Obituaries from Ontario's Christian Guardian, page 168. This tells that Moses was born on 23 September, 1799, in Sussex County, New Jersey. The gravestone is the rather more likely to be correct.
