| Note | An interesting situation. Initially, what we have for the list of children of John and Hannah is based on the 1851 every person census at Beverly. The every person census at Beverly has not survived, with the exception of five pages from district 2 and this happens to covered the family of John Teeple. The 1851 agricultural census for Beverly has survived, but with that exception, one will search in vain for Beverlonian worthies in 1851. Yes, there are township assessments to be found, but, as with the agricultural census, only the land owner's name is given. The 1851 listing of the Teeple's makes for difficult indexing, for the name is written to look rather more like Tipple, but...we work with what we have. Later family records, marriages, etc., clearly show the name as Teeple. Death reg. Beverly Twp., Wentworth Co. John Teeple died 13 Dec 1870. Age 70. Farmer. Farmer. Methodist.
