NoteFor the moment, next to nothing is known of Annie Hunter's background. We know of her maiden name for it is inscribed on the family's gravestone in Section 4 of Mountview Cemetery in Galt. The following thoughts are not without support, however.

A young bachelor might strike out on his own to settle in new country, marrying locally and making a life there. To a degree, this describes Henry Moe who appears elsewhere in this tree. For married couples with children, an extended family migration was typically the more likely. At some level, for the moment poorly understood, this is probably the story of the Warnock family and the Hunter connection.

The 1851 every-person census for Beverly Township has not survived, and so we do not get a look at the Warnock household in Beverly until the 1861 census. This shows John and Annie Warnock in their 60s with sons John and William and daughter Mary Ann. Also in the household is an Annie Hunter, age 10, and she is still with them at the time of the 1871 census in Beverly, where she is described as Anna Warnock, age 18. We must believe her to be Annie Hunter. The age discrepancy will relate to the difference in the way the age question was asked in 1871 as opposed to the way it was asked in 1861. A record of young Annie has not been found thereafter, nor has a baptism record been found for her at First Church. Still, it becomes obvious that there were Hunters at First Church, an Archibald Hunter having been a precentor there at one time according to the James Young history.

None of which is proof, but the logic of such records shown above indicates a Hunter family presence with the Warnocks in Canada that probably goes back to their immigration.
