Mary Ann Warnock died at 1 State Street in Galt on April 25, 1924. Single. Born in Galt(?) on May 25, 1838(?) Residence at place of death 32 years. Parents John Warnock and Annie Hunter, both born Scotland. Physician Dr. J. S. Wardlaw, Galt. Informant Elizabeth P. Minteer, 1 State Street, Galt, niece. Burial Galt on April 28, 1924.

That Mary Ann was born in 1838 is almost certainly correct. Her date of birth as shown predates her baptism by one day and this isn't typical for a Presbyterian baptism. Still, her date of birth as shown, May 25, 1838, agrees with her date of birth as shown on the 1901 census in Galt, so it may well be correct.

By the time Mary Ann was born in 1838, the family had been in possession of 50 acres on lot 3 of the 8th concession of Beverly. It's entirely possible that she was born in Galt, but Beverly Township seems the more likely location.
