Widowed. Cause of death influenza. Name of father Christian Frey. Mother's name - Musselman. Informant Israel Clements, Elmira, Ontario. If Annie was buried in Galt then it seems reasonable that she was buried in Mountview Cemetery. A transcription for her burial or that of her husband has not been found. Also, given that she died in 1918 of influenza, it seems likely that she died in the Spanish flu epidemic. At the time of the 1911 census at Galt, Annie was living with son Israel on Metcalf Street in Galt. Ezra Eby, in volume 2 of his history of Waterloo Township, tells that Anna had a twin, Christian, who died June 4, 1857. Eby shows the date of birth for the twins as July 20, 1854. |
