| Marriage | She married Christian Frey on 29 April 1845 at Wellington District. The marriage registration volume for the Wellington District is not to be found on microfilm at the Archives of Ontario. The register was found in a book store and purchased by an interested person and then placed in the Wellington County Museum at Fergus. It is understood that it may be viewed on microfilm at the museum, but it has also been transcribed by Dan Walker and Fawne Stratford-Devai. This has been published under the title The Marriage Registers of Upper Canada / Canada West, Wellington District, Volume 9, part 1 and 2 and printed by Global Heritage Press, Milton, Ontario (now in Ottawa), in the year 2000 Page 32 of this publication shows a list of marriages by Rev'd Benjamin Eby, Minister of the Mennonist Society, Berlin. One of the list of marriages reads as follows: Christian Frey, to Anna Musselman, both of Waterloo. 29 Apr 1845, by banns. Rev. Eby. Wit. Frederick Musselman and Henry Frey. |

| Note | Something of Anna Musselman's biography appears on page 133 of Ezra Eby's Volume 2, Biographical History of Waterloo County, 1895. This tells that her father was Frederick Musselman; that the her date of birth was July 16, 1826; and that Christian Frey's place of birth was Duhren, Baden, in Germany. The biography states that she and Christian had 11 children of whom we list only 6. Death reg. 032248-10 Peel Twp., Wellington Co. Mrs. Christian Frey, died November 26, 1910, born July 12, 1826, in Peel Twp. Age 84 yrs., 4 mos., 14 dys. Widowed. Parents Fred Musselman and Nancy Erb, both born Germany. The informant was the doctor. Anna's gravestone shows her date of death as November 27, 1910. |
