It does not show the date that it was actually made, though it does state that it represents a registration already on file. Birth reg. 901167-75 Wellesley Twp., Waterloo Co. February 8, 1875, Sylvester 'Clemens', s/o Henry R. 'Clemens' and Anna Frey. Henry is shown as a farmer. Death reg. 035674-30 Waterloo Twp., Waterloo Co. Sylvester Clements, residence Waterloo Twp., birthplace Waterloo County, date of birth Feb. 8, age 56, farmer, at place of death 24 years. Parents Henry Clements, born England, Annie Frey, born Waterloo Twp. Informant Mrs. Clements, RR2, Preston, Wife. Date of death September 12, 1930. Date of burial September 15, 1930, at Galt. The Clements family moved around. Sylvester was born in 1875 in Wellesley Township in Waterloo Co. At the time of the 1881 census, Sylvester was age 6 and with his parents in Brant Township in Bruce County. When Sylvester Clements and Annie Stephan were married in 1897, they were both residents of Listowel. Son Orline was born in Waterloo Township in Waterloo County in 1898. Sylva was born in Galt in 1900 and Ellsworth (Essie) was also born in Galt in 1906. By the time of the 1911 census, Sylvester and Annie with their three children are with Annie's brother William Stephan in Normanby Township of Grey County. Sylvester's death registration is domiciled Waterloo Township and the informant, his wife Annie, gives her address as RR2, Preston. This will have been on the Pinebush Road. She says that he was present at this address for 24 years, though the duration would have been rather shorter. |
