Parents Frederick Kiel and Barbara Freeman. Witnesses Charles Buchanan, Branchton, and Wilhelmina, Salem. On 17th Feby, 1873, at Galt, by Rev. Robert Acheson. Notwithstanding that the groom was a Methodist and the bride a Lutheran, they were married by Rev. Robert Acheson who was a Presbyterian. William's death registration places his birth in Branchton, North Dumfries. His marriage registration, however, places his birth in Beverly Township. This is probably correct. |

| Note | William Mulholland, age 4, appears with his parents William and Margaret Mulholland in North Dumfries as the time of the 1881 census. Death reg. 031743-24 North Dumfries Twp., Waterloo Co. William B. Mulholland died July 6th 1924. Place of death lot 4, C 7, North Dumfries. Married. Born Branchton July 20, 1851. Laborer, farm. Age 73, at place of death 48 years. Father Mulholland born Canada, mother Buchanan, born Branchton. Informant Fred Mulholland, Branchton, son. Burial St. George, July 9. William's place of birth is shown on his death registration as Branchton (North Dumfries Township.) This is almost certainly incorrect. He gave his place of birth as Beverly Township on his marriage registration and the first six children of his parents are shown as being born in Beverly. Note that the 1891 census appears to show a daughter Eleanor, age 5. This is probably an enumerator's error. The child is almost certainly Elmer. |
