Parents David (Harvie) and Mary Fraser. Nancy Cornell, 19, born and residing Beverly. Parents William (Cornell) and Ellen Labelle. Witness Thos. Fraser of Dumfries. On Oct. 26, 1864. Robert Acheson registered the marriage in Waterloo County, but it was actually held in Beverly Township in Wentworth County, probably at the bride's parents residence. We are informed of this by way of an extract of the Nov. 2, 1864, issue of the Dumfries Reformer. This appears in Dumfries Reformer Marriage, 1860-1865, which work was done by Rosemary Ambrose and was made available through the Waterloo Region Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. We are briefly told that Nancy Cornell was married to John Harvey (Harvie) in Beverly by Rev. R. Acheson. |
