This is for First Church in Galt. James and Melinda both died young and they are buried side by side in Mountview Cemetery in Galt. The following is taken from a transcription of James' gravestone by the Waterloo Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. IMO/James K. Stewart/who died Aug. 18, 1870/aged 26 years, 3 mo., 30 D's./Hark! Angels whisper life away/My partner dear adieu/In the sweet realms of endless day/our love we will renew. A death registration for James has not been found. |
