Death reg. 021289-05 Blenheim Twp., Oxford County John Harvie died Feb. 22, 1905, age 84. Residence Plattsville. Carpenter. Presbyterian. Born Scotland. Informant James Baird. When John died in 1905 and was buried, the Chesterfield Church was still Presbyterian and we may say he was buried in the Chesterfield Presbyterian church yard. This is now the Chesterfield United Church yard. We may safely say that John Harvie was not born in Scotland. He will have been born in Dumfries Township and almost certainly near the village of Branchton. |
