The above agrees with the date of marriage as shown for Charles and Eliza on page 673 of the 1883 Warner & Beers History of Brant County. The clergyman, Robert Corson, was the brother of Eliza's mother, Mercy Corson Griffin. |

Note | The History of Brant County, Warner & Beers, 1883, states that Eliza Griffin was born in 1820, however, a transcription of her gravestone indicates that she was born in 1822. Murray Fair provides the transcription of Mt. Vernon Cemetery for interment.net. |
