NoteA death registration for George has not been found nor a newspaper account of his passing. He may have been residing in Niagara Falls, New York, at the time of his death. Certainly, the Morse Funeral Home records indicate that a bridge tax was paid for the return of his remains. George and Elizabeth are buried in Fairview Cemetery in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Elizabeth's son Roderick McEachern is buried there as well. According to the stone, Roderick died in 1917. We have two census records that show his name as Roderick. The inscription on the stone gives his name as Roger even though Fairview's records show that they received him as Roderick.

George Russell was likely a Mason, for the inscription on his stone shows him as Sov. George Russell.

The Morse Funeral Home record for George is dated February 20, 1911. This may represent the date of his burial. Fairview Cemetery's web page does not provide us with a date of burial.
