The name of the first witness is faded and illeg. The second witness appears to be Joel Fonger of Lynnville.
They were married by D.V. Lucas on 14 November 1869 at Windham.
The religious denomination for both the bride and groom is shown as non professor. They were married by license.

Such birth information as we have for Catherine indicates that she may have been rather younger than 18 at the time she married.

NoteA transcription of Oakwood Cemetery in the town of Simcoe in Norfolk County gives William's birth year as 1841. This does not agree with his age as of the 1851 census, but given such information as we have from death dates of other siblings as they appear on their gravestones, 1841 may be closer to reality.

The 1891 Farmers' Directory for Windham Township in Norfolk County, shows the Person farm at C11-L14.
