     Minnie Lois Downs was born on 10 June 1878 in Walla Walla County, Washington.1,2 She was the daughter of John M Downs and Margaret Louisa Van Dorn.1,2,3 She was Seventh Day Adventist.3 She married Roswell Herbert Graves, son of Roswell Graves and Eugenia C Clapp, on 21 July 1904 in Pendleton, Umatilla County, Oregon.4,1 She was left a widow when Roswell Herbert Graves died on 15 July 1945.5 She lived in Escondido, San Diego County, California, in 1978.2 An article celebrating Minnie's 100th birthday appeared in The Redding Recorder on Monday July 31, 1978.1 She died on 1 August 1978 of a broken hip in Redding, Shasta County, California, at age 100.2 She was buried in Oak Hill Memorial Park, Escondido, San Diego County, CaliforniaG.6
