     Susannah Jones was born on 14 June 1822 in Troy, Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario. Various dates have been given for her birth; most agree on 1822. However, the month & day vary based on different interpretations of the age on her tombstone*.1,2,3 She was the daughter of James Jones and Hannah Goodale. She married Thomas Clement, son of William Clement and Jane O'Brien, in 1842.1,4 She died on 3 April 1882 in Troy, Beverly Twp, Ontario, at age 59.5,6,7,4 She was buried in Troy Cemetery, Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.8

*Cemetery transcripts give varying ages for Susannah: 68 yrs 9 mos 20 days making her birthdate 14 Jun 18136 and 65 yrs 4 mos 20 days making her birthdate 14 Nov 18165. I believe it reads 59 yrs 9 mos 20 days making her birthdate 14 Jun 1822. All census records and her death registration agree with 1822 as her year of birth. Note that 1813 is prior to her parents' marriage.
