January 29, 1850 Henry Jackson, 23, and Delilah Wismer, 25, both of Markham. Witnesses Cunningham Husty and Elizabeth Milne. Publishment (by banns). The above does not necessarily locate the place of marriage as being at Stouffville. The best we may say is that it was in York County. The older District register was evidently still in use. By this time, technically, your researcher believes that the county system was in being. Certainly, this is how Rev. Kribs has recorded his submission of marriages. |

The above is bourne out by a transcription of Nanticoke Christ Church Anglican Cemetery and which was provided in the Haldimand County branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. Henry and Delilah are buried together in this cemetery. There are quite a number of Jacksons buried in this cemetery. |
