The above does not necessarily locate the place of marriage as being at Stouffville. The best we may say is that it was in York County. The older District register was evidently still in use. By this time, technically, your researcher believes that the county system was in being. Certainly, this is how Rev. Kribs has recorded his submission of marriages.
