Note | St. James Cemetery, Toronto, advises they have buried in the centre grave of lot 064, Section V, James Aiken. He died January 9, 1868. We are not told his place of death, but we show him here as dying in Toronto. The 1867 Toronto directory shows him as a laborer at 238 Terauley in Toronto. His son Robert is shown as a carpenter and that he boards at the same address. The 1868 directory shows Robert living elsewhere, but at 238 Terauley is a Mrs. Eliza Aitken, widow, whom we must believe to be James' widow. |
