It's not unreasonable to believe that there were one or two children who did not long survive birth. The available list predates birth registrations, which in any event were vastly underreported for a good 15 years or more. A record of baptisms may exist for the Shand children. There home church has yet to be located. A family bible could well tell a fuller story. |
