Informant C. M. Walker. The above birth registration was not filed until December 31st, 1902. For some reason, Clayton and Kate took their time naming Mildred. Brother Fred filed Mildred's death registration in 1934 and he dates her birth to November of 1902, so we must believe the above to be Mildred's birth registration. The 1911 census has the famil still in Wingham, but they are in Stephen Township as of the 1921 census. When Mildred died in 1934, she was in Grand Bend, evidently with brother Frederick. Probably the whole family was there. Her death registration locates her in Huron County's Stephen Township. Grand Bend straddles the county line. It is partly in Bosanquet Township of Lambton County. Death reg. 017994-34 Stephen Township, Huron Co. Mildred Walker died May 28, 1934, in Grand Bend. Her residence is shown as Oakwood Park, Grand Bend. Single. Born Ontario in November of 1902. The handwriting on the form is difficult to read, but her occupation may have been that of librarian. Parents Clayton M. Walker and Kate Stiff, both born Ontario. Physician R. H. Taylor of Dashwood. The undertaker, Peter McIsaac, was also of Dashwood. Burial May 30, 1934, at Wingham Cemetery. |
