It seems safe to say that the above marriage was that of Leonard Preiss and Barbara Schutte. Looking over other marriages, it does seem that George MacLennan was a Presbyterian cleric. He was probably handy for the marriage. After that, if the minister wrote Leonard's name as Price, it wouldn't be the only time such is found. Barbara's last name being rendered a Scott could well be a handwriting issue. |

Some records show up with his name as Reinhard and some with his name as Leonhard. The above death registration, however, has both. His name is shown as Reinhard at the top of the form, but the physician's form at the bottom shows his name as Leonard. Both portions show his surname as Price. The family's name has also been seen as Bryce. |
