Brown, farmer, Beverly. There are two registrations for George's birth, which was often the case for this era. Initially, the entry was made at the county level, but then was changed to the township level. It appears as though the latter was copied from the former. In any event, both agree. George and Rhoda appear in the 1901 census in Ancaster Township, Wentworth County. This census shows dates of birth. George's is shown as 13 October, 1870, and Rhoda's as 28 September, 1871. The couple are shown in Capetown Village, Ancaster Township, in the 1911 census. In the 1921 census, they were in Beverly Township with son Maxwell. A later record for George has yet to be found. Where he died or is buried is unknown. |
