A look at the map shows this to be not at all far from Cranborne, Dorset, which is within the ambit of the district town of Wimborne, Dorset. FreeBMD, an index, records the birth of Georgina Brewer in the first third of the year 1850 as recorded in the District of Wimborne.

The 1851 census for England shows Georgina Brewer as age 1 and as being born in Wimborne, Dorset. She appears as a 'lodger' in the home of Stephen and Mary Lush.

The 1861 census for England shows Georgina Brewer as age 11 and as a boarder, again in the home of Stephen and Mary Lush. Also, and again, her place of birth is shown as Wimborne, Dorsetshire. By 1861, Tamer Brewer and her husband, James Tyner, are in Toronto.

In April of 1871, Georgina Brewer is in the household of James and Tamer Tyner in Toronto. She married John Mortimer in June of the same year and shows her parents as - Brewer and Tamer Tyner.
