Informant William McBride Jr., safe maker, Galt. Registered on 4th August, 1883. The handwriting of the town clerk, John G. Dykes, can be difficult reading. At first glance, the month of Ethel's birth almost looks to be the abbreviation for September. A closer examination shows it to be July! A further record for Ethel has yet to be found. She does not appear recorded in the transcription for Mountview Cemetery in Galt. There is some possibility that she might have been buried in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Galt, but such a record for her has not been found. Certainly, she is not with her father and his second wife as of the 1891 census. It does appear that she was deceased, but no death registration has been found. |
