McWilliams. Informant J. A. Bloodsworth. Brant's marriage registration shows his place of birth as Thamesford and this is probably correct. At the least, when he was born in 1897, the local registrar was at the township level and his birth was recorded in North Oxford. Thamesford sits on the border of the townships of North Oxford and East Nissouri. According to old period maps, most of Thamesford was in North Oxford. Brant's name appears as Brant Holmes Bloodsworth on his World War 1 military record. Brant was briefly in the Canadian Army as of May, 1918, but left the army and joined the Royal Air Force in July of 1918. His attestation papers, along with his marriage registration, show his place of birth as Thamesford. |
