| Marriage | He married Elizabeth Mulholland in 1840. Warner & Beers biography for Peter Martin in their 1883 History of the County of Brant, state that Peter married Elizabeth Mulholland in 1840. Some confirmation of this has been found in the form of a marriage bond between Peter and Elizabeth dated October 17, 1840. This was witnessed by Levi Willson and Morris Miller. The original images may be found on Library and Archives Canada's website or on microfilm C-6790. Note that the date of the marriage bond will not be the date of the marriage. This remains unknown. |

| Note | Peter Wilson was apparently born in Ancaster. By 1851, however, he is in part 4 of the census for Brantford Township. There, he appears in the agricultural census and is shown as having 100 acres on lot 47 of the 1st concession. The every-person 1851 census for part 4 of Brantford Township has not survived, according to Library & Archives Canada. Death reg. 004555-97 Brantford Township, Brant Co.
