The list was filed by Rev. Haynes at Kilbride on January 18, 1861 Hugh Husband, 22, born and residing Nelson (Township). Parents Robert and Susan. Ann Trimble, 19, born Ireland, residing Nelson. Parents James and Jane. Witnesses Allan Simpson and Hanah Husband, both of Nelson. On December 6, 1860. James McAllister served in Nelson Township from 1857 to 1859, and at Milton from 1860 to 1862. Frederick Haynes was in Ancaster from 1855 to 1859 and in Nelson from 1860 to 1861. In all probability, Hugh and Ann were married by Frederick Haynes. County marriage registrations do not typically tell the exact location of a marriage. The couple may have been married at Kilbride or perhaps at the home of the bride's parents. |

| Note | Death reg. 006578-86 Nassagaweya Twp., Halton Co. Ann Husband died 10th January, 1886, age 44 years. Born Ireland. Methodist. Physician Dr. Winn Reported by Schedule C. Using the title of the form for the informant is idiosyncratic so far as township clerk Colin Cameron is concerned. Some of these forms were mailed in, though this has been discussed with someone who has had a chance to examine these forms and another answer is at least possible. The cause of death for Ann is shown as lung trouble 3 months. Since Dr. Winn reports consumption as a cause of death on other registrations on the same page, consumption at least appears to be an unlikely cause of Ann's death. Ann and Hugh are buried in Salem Cemetery in Nelson Township. The gravestone shows their dates of death and this agrees with the dates of death on their death registrations. |
