Note | The Wesleyan Methodist Baptisms for Nassagaweya Township shows four children of George and Ann Watson being baptized in Nassagaweya (church name not given) by Rev. George H. Cornish. This tells that George Leonard Watson was born and baptized in Nassagaweya. Date of birth 29 July, 1855, and date of baptism 7 March, 1870. (The website, Fadedgenes, A Chronicle of the People of the Methodist Church in Canada, tells that George Henry Cornish served at Eramosa/Nassagaweya in 1870-1871. This still does not name a particular church wherein he served, but the area would certainly have covered more than one church.)
