An obituary for Margaret tells that she and Israel were married in Nassagaweya by Thomas Jefferies, the pastor of Ebenezer Church. |

Cause of death pneumonia. Physician and informant Dr. John McCrimmon. The date of Margaret's funeral is taken from the diary of her brother, Henry Husband. Henry was able to attend her funeral. An obituary for Margaret from an unknown newspaper is appended to the diary of Henry Husband. This tells that she died at her home at lot 61, concession 12 of Huron Township. It tells that Margaret was born in Nassagaweya Township. It tells that her husband, Israel, was a native of Kent, England. Margaret and Israel are said to have resided in Nelson Township until 1879 when they moved to Huron Township. The obituary tells that the pall bearers for her funeral were her nephews, John, James, and Peter McTavish, and her brother, Henry Husband. It's evident from entries in Henry's diary that he and Israel Jeater were on excellent terms, for they visited back and forth. |
