| Note | William Jeater's wife Sophia died in 1944. In the 1945 voters' list for Ripley, William is shown as a resident, perhaps living by himself. Whether he is actually living alone cannot be determined from the voters' list if only because the names are provided in alphabetical order. There could be others in the same household, but the list doesn't show this circumstance. According to the Jeater gravestone in Ripley-Huron Cemetery, William died in 1949. Deaths for 1949 are not yet available from the Archives of Ontario. |
