CanGenWeb provides a photograph of the Ross family gravestone in Maitland Cemetery in Goderich and this shows her death to be on March 22, 1887. She is shown as the wife of H. W. C. Meyer of Wingham and the daughter of the Hon. A. M. Ross. She is shown as age 33. The last digit of Helen's year of death could be a 1 or a 7...either 1881 or 1887, but the 1891 census at Wingham shows a daughter Alice born approximately 1884, so we must believe Helen's death to have been in 1887. |
