| Note | Death reg. 030187-01 Hamilton, Wentworth Co. Jennie Rowe died 8 September, 1901, at City Hospital. Age 30. Church of England. Cause of death gastro enteritis, 4 days. Physician and informant A. E. Malloch. A transcription of Greenwood Cemetery in Brantford, done in 2005, makes reference to an earlier publication which listed stones no longer visible at the time of the latest transcription. Jennie and Arthur's gravestone, or gravestones, is included in this list. Jennie and Arthur were both living when the 1901 census was done end March, early April, 1901. A column is in poor condition in terms of dates of birth and this is found as such with other images of the same page. Jennie's age in this census is shown as 28. The 1871 census shows her to be age 6 and is probably correct, which would place her birth year to approximately 1865. This is prior to the beginning of civil registration for births. (An image of the 1901 census page shows Jennie with a birth in July of 1873. Since she appears in the 1871 census, we may disregard this.) |
