| Note | As mentioned under notes for father James, the only record we have for Mary Timmins is that of her baptism as recorded in the Wesleyan Methodist baptisms records at Ottawa. Mary's date of birth is recorded as 16 February, 1858, and she was baptized along with sister Margaret on 5 April, 1858. She was not present with the family as of the 1861 census at Nepean Township and we must believe her to be deceased.
A burial record for Mary has not been found. It may be that she was buried in the Ottawa cemetery of the day, Sandy Hill. This was abandoned in 1872 and Beechwood was opened. Many burials were moved to Beechwood and some of these were recorded. A recording of Mary's removal and reburial has not been found. It is entirely possibe that she was buried elsewhere in a church cemetery. |
