Parents James B. and Mary. Sarah Kirkpatrick, 20, born and residing Beverly. Parents John and Ann. Witnesses A. Howell and L. Keough, both of St. George. Michael Fawcett was Thomas Keough's predecessor. He left a list of marriages for the year of 1865 for Thomas to report. Thomas performed the last three on the list, which included John and Sarah. Typically, the county marriage registers to do not report the location of a marriage. Since the couple were both of Beverly and John at least from the Sheffield area, the distance to St. George, in South Dumfries of Brant County, would not have been far. Probably, they were married in St. George. |

Her marriage registration places her birth in Beverly Township and this should be correct, for her father, John Kirkpatrick, is shown as being in Beverly as of the 1842 census. |
