| Note | Mary's surname, Brydone, as it appears on her marriage registration is apparently correct. McGill University's Canadian County Atlas Digital Project extracts information from an 1879 atlas. This shows Joseph Brydone as being born in Scotland and settling in Mornington in 1853. His postal address was Milverton. The property he held as of 1879 was two township half lots: lot 2 on the 5th concession and lot 3 on the 4th. This amounted to 100 acres of each lot for a total of 200 acres. This was quite close to Milverton. |
