According to a transcription of the Evangelical United Brethren Cemetery in Normanby Township, Dorothea's name appears as Dorothea C. Domm, and Domm may be correct so far as the inscription on the stone is concerned. Viewing other stones as transcribed as well as looking over census information, the family seems to have usually spelled the name as Damm. Something closer to 'Domm' was likely how it was pronounced. So far as the stone showing a middle inscription of 'C', this must be some sort of error, or perhaps a mistranscription. The death date on her stone February 4th, 1930, is the same as her death date on her death registration and we may safely say she is the Dorothea Elizabeth Feick who is buried with her husband Valentine Feick.
